SasuSaku Slumber FanFic

    Sleep. Sleep is all that mattered right now. She needed it. She needed rest. How could he sleep? He's the one who's always awake and fighting. She looked up to see his calm face. He looked so peaceful when he slept, like he was a completely different person. She lowered her head back into his chest and snuggled. She was wide awake and he was fast asleep.

She started shaking his shoulder, "Sasuke-kun," She whispered, "I can't sleep."

"Mmmhhn...?" Sasuke murmured as he woke up, "Why can't you sleep? It's the middle of the night. Plus, we just came back from a mission."

The girl, Sakura continuously shook his shoulder after he closed his eyes. "What...?!" Sasuke whispered harshly.

"I can't sleep." Sakura stated simply.

"Well close your eyes and clear your mind or something." He said as he closed his eyes.

    Sakura shook him again. He didn't respond. She shook him again. Still didn't respond. Upset, Sakura slapped his face, causing Sasuke to wake up. "What?!"

    "I can't sleep!"

    "Well, what do you want me to do!?" Sasuke whispered.

    Sakura smirked, "Hold me." She stated bluntly.

    Sasuke looked confused, "Why...? How will that help help you?"

    Sakura smirked again, "Well, I'm really cold and uncomfy. Plus I'm cold too and I need something to sooth me and comfort me to sleep."

    Sasuke blushed and put his arm around her. "Don't get use to this okay?" Sasuke said, his voice shaking, "I'm only doing this because you need to rest."

    Sakura smiled and snuggled into his chest. "Alright..." She commented, breathing in his scent.

    Sasuke buried his face in her soft pink hair and smirked. A few moments later, he felt soft, slow breathing on his chest. 'She's asleep' He thought, 'At least she'll stop bugging me now.' He started to stroke Sakura's hair soothingly and slightly giggled to himself.

    "This reminds me of Twilight." He commented.
